Job summary

Canberra Health Services (CHS) is seeking a Senior Social Worker (HP3) for Adult Inpatient Mental Health Services. The role offers full-time temporary placement with permanency potential in a tertiary hospital setting.

You will provide assessment, intervention and recovery-focused care for consumers, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred services and uphold ethical practice. Applicants should have 3+ years post-qualification experience and AASW eligibility.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership.
• At least three years of post-qualification experience in a relevant clinical setting.
• Ability to work with autonomy under limited direction.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical assessment, intervention and recovery-focused care for adults with complex mental health needs.
• Collaborate with consumers, carers, GPs and other service providers to deliver person-centred care.
• Manage clinical risk and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
• Participate in professional supervision and ongoing learning to develop social work practice.
