Job summary

Mid North Coast Local Health District is seeking a Social Worker (Level 4) for a temporary part-time role to deliver advanced clinical social work services and lead quality improvement initiatives across the MNCLHD Social Work service.

The role requires delivering assessment, counselling, advocacy and liaison, plus supervision of students and staff, within a multidisciplinary team to support patients with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical skills for managing complex presentations.
• Experience in clinical supervision and mentoring.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in quality improvement, service evaluation or redesign.
• Current NSW driver licence and ability to travel across MNCLHD.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Social Work services including assessment, counselling, advocacy, liaison and referral, while contributing clinical leadership to the Social Work service.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to Social Workers and students.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Lead and contribute to quality improvement, service evaluation and service redesign.
• Support effective clinical risk management and patient safety.
• Contribute to evidence-based, person-centred and culturally safe care.
