Job summary

Department for Child Protection in Blair Athol is seeking a Senior Social Worker (Allied Health) or Senior Case Manager (Professional Officer) on a full-time term basis. The role oversees safety and wellbeing of children through investigations and assessments, with a focus on positive care outcomes and statutory compliance.

The appointment is at the appropriate classification level and includes a child protection allowance in addition to the annual salary, with 12% superannuation and a presence

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification and eligibility for AASW membership.
• PO positions require qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences, Health or related fields.
• Full membership with AASW for Allied Health Professional classification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex case management to strengthen child safety.
• Conduct investigations and assessments of child protection issues.
• Apply appropriate response measures to abuse notifications per policy.
• Produce written and verbal intervention reports and reflect on frameworks.
• Uphold inclusive, culturally respectful practice during visits and assessments.
