Job summary

Bayside Health, part of the Peninsula Health Care Group, seeks a Grade 5 Social Worker – Mental Health based at Peninsula University Hospital in Frankston, with occasional travel to other Peninsula sites.

You will lead social work practice across MHWS, advance interdisciplinary care, and mentor teams while delivering high-quality, consumer-centered services.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligible for membership of AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers).
• Minimum 7 years post-graduate experience in clinical mental health, including senior roles.
• Expert knowledge of applying social work theory to practice with proficiency in psychosocial assessment, intervention, counselling, case management and discharge planning.
• Demonstrated advanced level of clinical leadership and team leadership experience.

The Team & Role

The Peninsula Care Group Mental Health and Wellbeing Service(MHWS) is a leading contemporary mental health service with service based in the new Peninsula University Hospital and across arrange of community locations in Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.

The Grade 5 Social Worker Discipline Lead will be responsible for leading and fostering clinical excellence in Social Work services across MHWS. As a clinical leader, this role will develop and evaluate innovative social work practices whilst contrition to the interdisciplinary leadership of the service .Help shape a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration and exceptional consumer care.

Skills & Experience Required

• A tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligible for membership of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Achieved or working towards a post-graduate Masters qualification in relevant professional area
• Minimum 7 years post graduate relevant experience in clinical mental health including prior experience in senior clinical roles
• Expert knowledge of the application of social work theory to practice with demonstrated proficiency in psychosocial assessment, intervention, counselling, case management and discharge planning
• Demonstrated advanced level of recognised clinical/leadership experience and leadership expertise
