Job summary

Wattlecore Technologies Pty is seeking 1–2 Snowflake Designers/Engineers with strong dbt expertise to design and build secure, governed Snowflake data layers for large financial datasets. You will work in an agile scrum team, building pipelines, tuning performance and enforcing data quality and governance across the platform.

Experience migrating from legacy SAS or Teradata platforms is highly regarded. The role emphasizes scalable data architecture, RBAC, masking, and robust CI/CD for data

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience designing and building on Snowflake in an enterprise setting, including schema layering, warehouse sizing, RBAC and masking.
• Strong commercial experience with dbt on Snowflake: model layering, tests, incremental models, documentation and lineage.
• Advanced SQL skills with performance tuning on very large datasets, ideally in financial services.
• Practical experience implementing data-quality controls and reconciliation patterns.
• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Comfortable working in Agile / Scrum delivery teams within governance frameworks.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical designs to technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Snowflake design and build across raw, staging, integration, curated and consumption layers.
• Size, configure and monitor virtual warehouses for concurrency and cost efficiency.
• Implement RBAC, masking and row-level security aligned to least-privilege principles.
• Develop dbt projects, tests, macros and documentation; integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
• Write advanced SQL over large financial datasets and ensure data quality and reconciliation.
• Collaborate in a Scrum team and contribute to architectural standards.
