Job summary

Anduril Industries Australia is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to architect and operate next‑gen toolchains for secure, rapid delivery of autonomous systems.

You’ll manage cloud infra (AWS/Azure), OS layers (NixOS, Linux, Windows), and orchestration (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Terraform), mentor engineers, and contribute to security across the software stack. Australian security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior role delivering software/hardware systems with mature delivery, security and operations capabilities.
• Experience with horizontally scaled cloud technologies.
• Troubleshooting remotely deployed software systems.
• Ability to own a software service across design, implementation, sustainment and evolution.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and grow team capability.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and support of next‑generation software delivery toolchains.
• Manage ICT infrastructure (AWS, Azure, VMware ESXi)
• Manage OS layer (NixOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Windows)
• Manage orchestration layer (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform)
• Manage application layer (Github Enterprise, CircleCI, proprietary apps)
• Contribute to Nix build/deployment systems
• Assist ICT hardware management as needed
• Advocate for best‑practice security in the toolchain
• Collaborate in a multi‑disciplinary software team and mentor engineers
