Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to support a major sustaining capital project in the resources sector. FIFO 2:1 roster in Pilbara WA, 11-month duration.

You will provide frontline HSE leadership, coaching, and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and project standards. Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager on site, you will build strong relationships across project teams and stakeholders, lead safety initiatives, inspections, and investigations to drive strong safety

Qualifications

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in WHS required.
• Senior HSE advisory experience in construction/mining or resource sector projects.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, industry standards, and contractor management.
• Experience leading investigations, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Understanding of Critical Risk Management principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to influence safe behaviours and build relationships across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide Health & Safety support and advice to project teams and contractors.
• Promote a positive safety culture through visible leadership in the field.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, observations, and critical control verifications.
• Lead and support incident investigations, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project HSE requirements and legislative obligations.
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness initiatives.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed out in a timely manner.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of project HSE systems and processes.
• Prepare safety reports, performance metrics, and documentation as required.
• Liaise effectively with client representatives, contractors, and project stakeholders.

About the Role Role: FIFO, 2:1 roster Duration: 11 months Site: Pilbara WA Airswift is seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join a major sustaining capital project within the resources sector. Working as part of an integrated project team, this position will support the delivery of construction activities while driving strong safety outcomes across contractors, project personnel, and stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager on site, you will provide frontline HSE leadership, coaching, and support to ensure compliance with project requirements, legislative obligations, and best practice safety standards. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong field presence and the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the project team.

• Understanding of Critical Risk Management principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
