Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking a Senior Short Term Planning Engineer to lead a team of mining engineers, turning strategy into safe, achievable and value-driven outcomes across the operation at Ernest Henry. You will translate mine plans into executable short-term schedules and provide technical direction.

Based at Ernest Henry Operations reporting to the Superintendent - Short Term Planning, you’ll drive the short-term plan from shift execution to a three-month horizon, collaborate with operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
• Extensive underground mining experience across short-term planning, production engineering and drill and blast.
• Experience in Sub Level Caving operations, or strong understanding of cave mining methods.
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing technical teams.
• Experience using Deswik CAD, Deswik Scheduler and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of mining engineers responsible for short-term planning activities across the operation.
• Drive delivery of the Short Term Mine Plan, covering a planning horizon from shiftly execution through to three months.
• Oversee critical planning functions including drill and blast design, scheduling, cave planning and short-term projects.
• Partner with operational and technical teams to ensure alignment with budget and quarterly plan objectives.
• Identify operational risks and opportunities within the planning horizon and implement practical solutions.
