Job summary

Zip Co Limited in Sydney is seeking a Senior Security Platform Engineer to build and operate scalable security platforms that protect our cloud and endpoint environments. You’ll embed security into CI/CD, automate guardrails with IaC, and work closely with DevOps to raise our security posture. Hybrid work from our Sydney office.

The role emphasizes Zero Trust, SASE, and modern tooling to defend millions of customers and partners across our platform ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Strong cloud security engineering experience with AWS, IaC and modern security tooling.
• Experience building scalable security platforms across cloud and endpoint environments.
• Hybrid work from Sydney office with close collaboration with platform and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate key security platforms protecting Zip’s infrastructure and endpoints.
• Design and implement integrations between security tooling and cloud environments.
• Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
• Automate guardrails using Infrastructure as Code and policy as code approaches.
• Tune and optimise security tooling for performance, coverage and signal quality.
• Partner with DevOps and platform teams to implement secure cloud and infrastructure configurations.
• Define and maintain security baselines across identity, device and workload trust.
• Support the ongoing evolution of Zero Trust capabilities across the organisation.
