Job summary

GoSourcing seeks a Senior Security Operations Engineer/Specialist to provide hands-on operational capability to monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats. You will leverage Microsoft Sentinel and Defender to investigate alerts, develop detection use cases, and improve the organisation's security posture during design and operation phases.

Hybrid work with 2 days in the office; Australian citizenship with active Negative Vetting Level 1 is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cyber security operations in enterprise or cloud environments.
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms, preferably Microsoft Sentinel.
• Incident detection, investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Security automation and scripting to support response activities.
• Cloud environments (Azure) with logging and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, detect and respond to cyber threats using Sentinel/Defender.
• Develop detection use cases and analytics rules; tune dashboards.
• Lead incident response including containment and remediation.
• Perform threat hunting and triage security events across environments.
• Develop automation playbooks to speed responses and reduce manual work.
• Coordinate with DevOps and security teams to improve controls.
