Job summary

GoSourcing is assisting a Federal Government client in Adelaide, Australia, by sourcing a Senior Security Operations Engineer/Specialist. Qualifications

• Hands-on cyber security operations in enterprise or cloud environments.
• Working with SIEM/SOAR platforms, preferably Microsoft Sentinel, including analytics rules and dashboards.
• Incident detection and response, including triaging alerts and root-cause analyses.
• Security automation and scripting to support orchestration and response.
• Cloud environments (Azure) with logging, monitoring and security controls.
• Familiarity with WoAG policies such as ISM and Essential Eight controls.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize security monitoring platforms and analytics rules.
• Plan and conduct proactive threat hunting activities.
• Lead and support incident response, containment, eradication and recovery.
• Perform in-depth analysis of security events and triage incidents by risk and impact.
• Develop and maintain automation playbooks to speed response times.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across systems and apps, coordinating with DevOps.
