Job summary

Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia is seeking a Senior Security Officer to live and work onsite at Ayers Rock Resort in Yulara, NT, near Uluru. You will secure, patrol, guard and protect guests and staff, responding to incidents and monitoring access.

The role requires a Certificate II in Security and a Senior First Aid Certificate, plus the ability to obtain an ASIC, NT Security Officer and Crowd Control licenses, RSA and a full Australian Driver’s Licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate II in Security and Senior First Aid, both current.
• Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC.
• Ability to obtain NT Security Officer and Crowd Control licenses.
• Ability to obtain and hold RSA.
• Valid full Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor guest and resident behaviours and respond to complaints and incidents in a timely and professional manner through securing, patrolling, watching, guarding and protecting people and infrastructure.
• Provide access control for resort zones, monitor and record identifications, and report unauthorised personnel to management.
• Utilise a range of electronic security equipment in the performance of duties.

Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Senior Security Officer to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Security Officer who is fair and wishes to be a part of the Yulara community. You will be securing, patrolling, watching, guarding, and protecting all people within our Ayers Rock Resort. Respond to a range of issues such as noise complaints, domestic disturbance, anti-social behaviour, and medical emergencies.

To be considered for this role we ask you to have:

• Minimum Certificate II in Security & Senior First Aid Certificate (both current for minimum 6 months)
• Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC (Aviation Security identity Card)
• The ability to obtain and hold a Northern Territory Security Officer and Crowd Control licenses
• The ability to obtain and hold your RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
• Valid Full Australian Drivers Licence

Key Duties

• Monitor guest and resident's behaviours and respond to complaints and incidents in a timely and professional manner through securing. Patrolling, watching, guarding and protecting VITA people and infrastructure including responding to alarm call outs (Fire/Security). These tasks may be undertaken on foot or in a vehicle.
• Provide access control for resort zones controlling the movement of persons, vehicles, gods/property coming out of or going into the zones, monitoring and recording description and quantities if required and ensuring appropriate identification/level of authority, are produced. Ensuring any unauthorised personnel on site are reported to management.
• Utilise a range of electronic equipment in the performance of their duties.
