Job summary

Airlock Digital is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Security Operations team in Australia. You will design and implement controls, monitor threats, automate detection, and own vulnerability management across cloud, endpoints and apps.

You will work with IT and security teams, mentor junior staff, and help mature our security posture leveraging Splunk, Airlock, and industry frameworks. Remote or hybrid options available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on technical security operations.
• Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, and cryptography.
• Solid understanding of SIEM tools (Splunk) and network security technologies.
• Experience with endpoint security technologies, including Airlock.
• Experience developing and maintaining detection rules, alerts, and playbooks.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and assessments.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and attacker tools/techniques.
• Understanding of ACSC Essential Eight.
• Understanding of cloud (Azure) and container security.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain security controls, automations and monitoring across apps, systems, cloud and endpoints.
• Respond to security incidents with investigations, containment and remediation coordination.
• Own vulnerability management processes and tooling and drive maturation.
• Mentor junior engineers and analysts.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to share insights on threats.
