Job summary

Q-CTRL is seeking a Senior Security Engineer in Sydney to design, implement, and maintain secure infrastructure for our quantum software platform. This role focuses on building resilient security controls, zero-trust networking, and incident response within a fast-paced engineering environment.

You will work across Kubernetes clusters, cloud networking, and security tooling to uphold compliance, improve alerting, and advance AI-assisted security practices.

Qualifications

• Senior security engineer with cloud and Kubernetes security experience.
• Experience applying security best practices and compliance controls.
• Ability to design and implement secure infrastructure and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on role to ensure highest security standards for products and infrastructure.
• Strengthen platform security including Kubernetes, cloud networking, ZTNA, and firewalls.
• Maintain compliance through access control, data management, and security guardrails.
• Apply forensics and incident response to triage incidents and improve alerting.
• Refine vulnerability management to improve security metrics.
• Take on other duties within your skills and training.
