Job summary

icare, based in Sydney, is seeking a Senior Security Services Engineer to shape enterprise security engineering across cloud and on‑prem environments, from design to implementation and improvement. You will mentor engineers, drive automation with scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code, and partner with cyber, architecture, cloud, infrastructure and DevOps teams to embed security into technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in cyber security engineering or technical security roles in large or complex environments.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing and managing enterprise security technologies (SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, firewalls, cloud security, network security, IAM, monitoring).
• Experience delivering large-scale cyber security uplift or technology change, from concept to implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, integration and lifecycle management of enterprise security technologies across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Shape and deliver security controls to strengthen cyber resilience and support technology transformation.
• Explore, evaluate and pilot emerging security capabilities including AI-enabled analytics, automation and cloud-native technologies.
• Lead complex security initiatives end-to-end from assessment to adoption.
• Automate security processes using scripting, orchestration and IaC to improve effectiveness and response times.
• Partner with cyber, architecture, cloud, infrastructure, DevOps and business teams to embed security into solutions.
