Talenza in Sydney is seeking a senior cyber risk and strategy consultant to lead engagements that deliver practical security outcomes for clients.

You will partner with executives to shape risk programs, drive governance improvements, and translate strategy into actionable initiatives, working across business and technology functions. This role offers hybrid work, exposure to complex client engagements, and mentorship of junior consultants.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering cyber risk, strategy, or security transformation projects.
• Strong background developing cyber security strategies, frameworks, and governance.
• Translate strategic recommendations into practical business outcomes.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making across business and technology.
• Passion for solving complex security challenges and delivering high-value consulting outcomes.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or similar are beneficial but not essential.

• Deliver engagements focused on cyber strategy, risk, governance, and security transformation initiatives.
• Facilitate cyber incident tabletop exercises and help organisations improve preparedness and response capabilities.
• Support clients in developing and executing risk management strategies that align with business objectives.

About the Role

This is a senior consulting opportunity within a growing practice that focuses on delivering practical cyber risk and security strategy outcomes for clients. Unlike traditional audit and compliance-focused roles, this position requires someone who can develop strategy and actively assist clients with implementation and execution.

You will act as a key leader within the team, partnering with clients to solve complex cyber security challenges, improve risk management capabilities, and drive meaningful improvements across their security programs.

About You
