Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Security Architect to join the APJ Field CTO Office. You will act as a security evangelist, architect, and hands-on SME, building trust with customers and partners while aligning Snowflake’s security posture with product strategy.

The role requires deep expertise in data concepts, privacy, governance, and cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industry, customer-facing, and hands-on implementation experience with data concepts, privacy, governance, networking, infosec and security technologies.
• Strong understanding of security concepts: RBAC, OAuth, IAM, encryption, and data governance.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and related security architectures.
• Ability to build demos, configure CSP environments, and test use cases on Snowflake with integrations.
• Experience creating security and networking reference architectures and hardening guides.
• Familiar with security frameworks (NIST, CIS, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Knowledge of ANSI SQL databases and data warehousing preferred.
• Security or cloud certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP are a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across APJ regions.
• Bachelor/Master's in relevant field; Masters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scope security-related feature enhancements with customers and coordinate with Product Management.
• Build demos and prototypes using Snowflake and integrated solutions; engage stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Support to drive security adoption.
• Define and support Snowflake's AI and Data Cloud posture and security workload awareness.
• Partner with Field CTOs on Enterprise AI, Gen AI, and Data Engineering initiatives.
• Share knowledge through webinars and conferences.
