Job summary

CyberCX Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Security Analyst for its Managed Security Services team in Perth. You will deliver advanced security operations, lead projects, and drive capability development with Tier 2/3 analytical support for MSS clients.

You will perform SIEM analysis, coordinate security incidents, and guide junior staff while collaborating across CyberCX to add value for customers. This is a Perth-based role requiring security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in information technology or similar field.
  • Industry recognised qualifications (e.g. SANS, OSCP, ISC2).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an operational security role.
  • In-depth understanding of security and analytical concepts.
  • Experience with incident response and incident management methodologies.
  • Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Current and ex-serving ADF members are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform SIEM-based event analysis and incident triage, coordinating security incidents and projects with stakeholders.
  • Lead and coordinate threat hunting, vulnerability assessment activities, and develop new detection capabilities via alert tuning.
  • Provide end-to-end support for customer and internal systems.
  • Deliver operational and project support, driving improvements for customers.
  • Communicate security issues internally and with clients; mentor junior staff.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in information technology or similar field (preferred)
  • Industry recognised qualifications (e.g. SANS, OSCP, ISC2) (preferred) Suitable vendor certifications preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an operational security role
  • In-depth understanding of security and analytical concepts
  • Experience with incident response and incident management methodologies
  • Exposure to IT security operations in a large or complex organisation
  • In-depth experience or understanding of IT security tools and controls including SIEM, IDS/IPS, Anti-Virus, WAF (preferred)
  • Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Current and ex-serving ADF members are encouraged to apply
