Job summary

Evolve Scientific in Melbourne is seeking a QC Analyst to coordinate quality control testing of raw materials, intermediates and final products, and to ensure training for QC Analysts and QC Support Assistants is completed per established procedures.

The role involves performing Immunohaematology assays, antibody screening and phenotyping, and logging samples into the Laboratory Information System, with GMP/GLP compliance and calibrated equipment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in Science.
• Experience in Pathology/Laboratory, Immunohaematology or blood banking.
• Working knowledge of GMP/GLP regulations and TGA guidelines.
• Proven technical writing and editing skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the effective and timely management of quality control testing of raw materials, intermediates and final products.
• Ensure training requirements are met for QC Analysts and QC Support Assistants, as per established processes and procedures.
• Perform tests including Immunohaematology assays, Antibody Screening and Phenotyping following approved procedures.
• Assist in specimen reception duties by logging and receiving samples onto the Laboratory Information System.
• QC processes are validated and equipment/premises conform to GxP requirements.
• Ensure equipment is validated, maintained and within calibration.
• Proactively support the operational area to prevent invalid assays.
• Review, approve and authorise QC test results as per approved procedures.

• Monday to Friday, full time hours, with possibility of weekend work
• Coordinate the effective and timely management of quality control testing of raw materials, intermediates and final products
• Ensure training requirements are met for QC Analysts and QC Support Assistants, as per established processes and procedures
• Following approved procedures to perform a range of tests, Immunohaematology assays, Antibody Screening and Phenotyping.
