Brisbane Catholic Education Office (BCE) is hiring for Xavier Catholic College in Hervey Bay to lead the Senior Schooling & Pathways program. The role coordinates staff, monitors outcomes, and builds partnerships aligned with school values.

The appointee will oversee professional development, induction, and program evaluation, while managing budgets and resources to support student outcomes within a Catholic education context.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years teaching experience.
• Proven ability to lead school programs and ensure smooth operations while fostering professional development for staff.
• Experience in managing program logistics including resources, transport, and operational needs.
• Familiarity with best practices in education supported by ongoing research and learning.
• Competence in evaluating programs and managing staff performance through professional discourse and goal setting.
• Strong leadership skills, financial management proficiency, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the designated program in the school.
• Provide professional development and monitor improvement of teachers’ professional practice.
• Induct new teachers within the program and supervise induction.
• Coordinate staff delivering the designated program in line with the school’s values.
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of the program.
• Organise program activities including resources, transport, operations, and staff.
• Keep abreast of best practice through professional reading and research.
