Job summary

CQUniversity seeks a Senior Safety and Wellbeing Adviser to lead safety, health and wellbeing initiatives across the University community. You will advise management, staff and students, support risk management, audits and investigations, and help develop safety training and the Safety Management System.

This role emphasizes promoting a positive safety culture, enabling compliance and business continuity while building strong internal and external relationships.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of contemporary industry practices and compliance requirements.
• Significant experience providing high-level health, safety and psychosocial advice.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert safety, health and wellbeing advice to management, staff and students.
• Support risk management, workplace audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Contribute to Safety Management System development and training delivery.
• Support workers’ compensation, workplace rehabilitation and crisis management activities.
