Job summary

Aurizon is seeking a senior safety leader to join as Manager Safety Partnering (Network) in Rockhampton. You will partner with senior leaders, shape safety strategy, and drive a proactive safety culture across a large rail network.

Lead and develop a high-performing Safety Partnering team while delivering safety initiatives and enterprise improvements. Reporting to the Head of Safety Health Environment and Learning, you will influence decisions, coach leaders, and ensure compliance with

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering safety outcomes in complex operational or industrial environments.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience leading and developing teams.
• Translate strategy into meaningful business initiatives and results.
• Outstanding communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical capability and the confidence to challenge, influence and drive change.
• Qualifications in a safety-related discipline will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Business Unit Executives and senior operational leaders to deliver strategic safety initiatives.
• Provide expert advice on safety, safeworking, emerging risks and opportunities.
• Coach leaders to foster a strong safety culture.
• Be in field and present with operational leaders and key stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a high-performing Safety Partnering team.
• Collaborate with national Safety Health Environment and Learning Leadership team to drive enterprise strategy and improvement initiatives.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on safety data and trends to influence business outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives across Network.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and company requirements with a practical, operational focus.
