Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Safety Culture & Strategy professional to embed a proactive safety culture across the organisation. You will work with leaders and project teams to deliver culture initiatives, leadership programs, and improvement activities that strengthen safety outcomes.

The role involves coordinating activities, supporting project delivery, preparing reports, and identifying opportunities to enhance effectiveness.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in a Safety Officer, Safety Partner, or equivalent role.
Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
You build trust and credibility through effective communication, sound judgement, and an empathetic/diplomatic approach.
Able to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail, you successfully manage competing priorities and deliver results.

Responsibilities

Play a key role in embedding a positive safety culture across Transport for NSW and support enterprise-wide safety culture initiatives.
Coordinate activities, monitor progress, prepare reports and insights, and identify opportunities to enhance effectiveness.
Support project delivery and collaborate with leaders, project teams and stakeholders to drive safety outcomes.
Report into a Senior Manager within Safety Culture & Strategy and contribute to program success.
