Job summary

CITIC CLSA is seeking an analyst to join our Emerging Companies Research team in Sydney. You will conduct research and analysis on ASX-listed emerging companies, build financial models, assess valuations and inform investment recommendations.

The role requires initiative, independent thinking and strong communication with clients and internal teams. We value a strong academic background in finance or accounting and 1–4 years' relevant experience, with proficiency in Excel and modern modelling

Qualifications

1–4 years’ experience in equity research or related fields.
Strong financial modelling knowledge.
Excellent English communication and writing.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain detailed financial models across a portfolio of covered companies.
Analysis of financial statements.
Prepare valuations and help shape investment recommendations.
Track sector developments, competitor activity and industry data to inform the team’s views.
Contribute to written research, from results notes to in-depth company and thematic pieces.
Support meetings with company management and clients, and help maintain the team’s information sources and databases.
