Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Senior Technical Officer to lead the ARIAM Hub's Capability Demonstrator program. Based primarily in the ACFR, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with academics, research and professional staff, PhD students, and industry partners to build an integrated field robotics facility.

This facility will be used to test research outcomes and demonstrate real-world deployments of robotic systems.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• Experience with robotics systems: development, design and debugging of electronic, software and mechanical hardware.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute fieldwork to collect sensor data and develop digital twin models of assets.
• Provide project management support and expert advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage and coordinate multiple projects with milestones, deliverables, and governance.
• Maintain WHS standards and offer strategic guidance to drive project success.
