Job summary

The University of Sydney’s Australian Centre for Robotics (ACFR) seeks a Senior Mechanical and Production Engineer with marine robotic systems experience. You will develop production-ready vehicle systems and support manufacturing and maintenance of AUVs, including field validation.

Work with researchers and engineers to deliver design solutions, lead mechanical/electronic components, and plan field deployments.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in mechanical engineering, robotics or related discipline.
• Experience delivering production-ready mechanical and electronic solutions.
• Strong design experience with SolidWorks and Altium; robotics systems expertise; embedded/advanced manufacturing exposure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to deliver design solutions.
• Lead mechanical and electronic component development for marine robotic systems.
