Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Road Designer to join our Queensland civil infrastructure team. The role focuses on major road projects, including High Speed Motorways and Urban Arterials, across multiple design stages from concept to detailed design.

The successful candidate will lead road design teams, ensure delivery within budgets, and collaborate with multidisciplinary designers to maintain design integrity and compliance with Arcadis and national standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in 12D essential.
• Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads highly desirable.
• Significant experience delivering major road infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of Austroads Guide to Road Design is essential; familiarity with state standards desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, resource and deliver road design components within budgets and deadlines.
• Identify and resolve technical road design issues with the team.
• Lead a road design project team and coach capabilities.
• Assist Project Manager with resources and outsourcing considerations.
• Ensure project documents meet quality standards and design compliance.
• Maintain clear communication with Project Managers, Team Leaders and clients.
