Job summary

MinterEllison in Sydney is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Risk and Regulatory Consulting Practice. You will lead or support engagements across governance, risk, compliance, and financial crime projects for major clients.

Based in our Sydney office with hybrid working options, you will build deep expertise, interact with clients at all levels, and contribute to business development while navigating AML/CTF and regulatory frameworks in Australia.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience in a consulting environment or professional services firm.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to navigate complex regulatory and risk challenges.
• Effective communication and presentation skills with confidence engaging clients at all levels.
• Understanding of how AML/CTF regulations and broader risk and compliance frameworks operate in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Engage in day-to-day client interaction across risk, regulatory, governance, compliance, and financial crime projects.
• Deliver high-profile engagements under guidance of leading risk and regulatory experts.
• Support senior leaders with business development and practice management activities.
• Develop a broad skill set spanning technical risk, regulatory expertise, client relationship management, and commercial acumen.
