Job summary

Civmec, a leading Australian-owned heavy engineering and construction services provider, is seeking a Rigger for the Moura shutdown in Queensland. The role involves performing rigging tasks and assessments, moving heavy loads through confined spaces, and coordinating with project crews to ensure safety and efficiency.

Applicants should have HRWL RI or RA, a Construction White Card, and a minimum of 5 years shutdown/site experience, with any additional tickets highly regarded.

Qualifications

• HRWL: RI or RA
• Construction White Card
• Work Safely at Heights (highly regarded)
• Enter and Work in Confined Space (within 2 years of issue)
• Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable)
• Minimum 5 years shutdown / site experience
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
• Additional Tickets will be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Perform rigging tasks across shutdowns and project works
• Conduct detailed rigging assessments
• Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings
• Manoeuvre loads safely through confined spaces
• Dismantle rigging equipment following completion of tasks
• Maintain and store rigging equipment correctly
• Conduct risk assessments prior to commencing tasks
• Comply with industry safety standards at all times
• Provide rigging expertise across project works
• Ensure safe lifting practices throughout all operations
• Coordinate with crews to complete rigging activities safely
