Job summary

Downer is seeking an experienced Senior RF Engineer IBC to join our Technology and Communications team in Australia. You will design In Building Coverage and Distributed Antenna Systems to support 4G/5G deployments across diverse sites such as commercial buildings, stadiums, airports and rail networks.

You will work within multidisciplinary project teams to coordinate design, delivery, and compliance, including EME assessments and field support through construction and as-built phases.

Qualifications

• Ter­tiary qualifications in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering IBC and DAS designs in the Australian market.
• Experience with EME assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Familiarity with RF planning tools (iBwave, Planet, Atoll or Asset) and GIS.
• Site inspections, feasibility studies and field support experience.
• Strong knowledge of LTE/5G and radio network optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality In Building Coverage and DAS designs for 4G/5G deployments across diverse sites.
• Coordinate and deliver telecommunications solutions within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements, standards and EME compliance.
• Support project delivery through construction and as-built phases.
