Morse Micro is seeking an RF Calibration & Lab Technician to uphold the highest standards of lab hygiene and measurement integrity across hardware, DVT and SVT projects. You will calibrate RF test gear, measure S-parameters, and work across teams to ensure clean data and repeatable test results.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on RF experience, familiarity with SOLT/TRL calibration, and strong documentation habits to support production testing and validation efforts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own RF lab hygiene and measurement integrity across development and validation environments
• Calibrate and maintain RF test equipment including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and accessories
• Measure and characterize S-parameters (S11, S21, etc.) and maintain correction data
• Establish and enforce RF handling best practices (torque, connectors, labeling)
• Debug and optimize RF test setups to reduce artifacts
• Manage lifecycle of cables, connectors, adapters, fixtures; replace degraded interconnects
• Support DVT, SVT, and Systems during bring-up, validation, and regulatory testing
• Maintain calibration logs, test setup docs, and lab asset tracking
• Collaborate with engineering to improve test fixture design and measurement robustness

Job description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented RF Calibration & Lab Technician to elevate the quality and repeatability of our RF validation and production test environments. This role will work across Hardware, DVT, Systems, and SVT teams to ensure our lab infrastructure, calibration practices, and measurement setups meet the highest standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong practical RF experience, deep familiarity with test equipment calibration and S-parameter measurement, and a disciplined approach to lab hygiene. This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes pride in precision, repeatability, and clean data.

Key Responsibilities

• Own RF lab hygiene and measurement integrity across development and validation environments
• Calibrate and maintain RF test equipment including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and associated accessories
• Measure and characterize cable, connector, and jig S-parameters (S11, S21, etc.) and maintain correction data where required
• Establish and enforce best practices for RF handling (torque wrench usage, connector care, cable replacement schedules, labeling, ESD discipline)
• Debug and optimize RF test setups to eliminate measurement artifacts and improve repeatability
• Manage lifecycle of cables, connectors, adapters, and fixtures. Identify and replace degraded interconnects before they impact data quality
• Support DVT, SVT, and Systems teams during bring-up, validation, and regulatory testing
• Maintain calibration logs, test setup documentation, and lab asset tracking
• Work with engineering teams to improve test fixture design and measurement robustness

Required Experience

• Strong hands‑on RF experience (industry or advanced lab environment)
• Practical understanding of RF calibration techniques (SOLT, TRL, power calibration, etc.)
• Experience measuring and interpreting S-parameters
• Familiarity with RF connectors (SMA, MMCX, U.FL, etc.) and proper torque practices
• Experience troubleshooting measurement inconsistencies and identifying root causes
• Comfortable working with high‑frequency PCB assemblies and RF modules
• Strong documentation habits and disciplined working style

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting regulatory or compliance testing (FCC, CE, etc.)
• Background in production test or DVT environments
• Experience building or maintaining RF test jigs and fixtures
• Understanding of basic antenna measurements
