Job summary

AMC Consultants is seeking a Principal Resource Geologist to lead geological modelling and resource estimation for diverse mining projects. The role will involve collaborating with the Geosciences team and AMC service lines to deliver high-quality client solutions.

Ideally based in Perth, the candidate will have at least 10 years of practical mining geology experience, strong estimation and geostatistics skills, and a willingness to travel internationally while supporting a global client base.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of practical mining/geology experience; ideally 5+ years in mining and drilling.
• Membership of a recognized professional organization (e.g., AIG, AIG/Geoscience body).
• Fluent in English; willingness to travel internationally and have working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead geological modelling, resource estimation, and QA/QC for client projects.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with AMC service lines.
• Develop proposals, manage budgets and timelines.
• Engage with mining clients and support due diligence and valuation work.
