Job summary

The Australian Red Cross invites applications for the Senior Officer – Resilience (NSW). The role leads a team of Resilience Officers delivering RediCommunities across NSW, coordinating overall program delivery, monitoring and financial oversight.

You will oversee targeted heatwave resilience support to individuals, households and communities, delivering services directly and guiding staff and volunteers to achieve outcomes, with hybrid work two days in office.

Qualifications

• Supervise and direct staff engaged in emergency services delivery.
• Sound knowledge of disaster resilience, climate change and community development principles.
• Excellent advocacy and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills; use data to inform practice and solve problems.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver training, workshops and resources.
• Ability to set priorities and organise work for self and others.
• Commitment to engaging, directing, supporting and acknowledging volunteer workforces.

Responsibilities
