Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District is recruiting for Senior Resident Medical Officers in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital.

The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver obstetric and gynaecological services under supervision while developing expertise in a complex clinical setting, with a willingness to participate in after-hours rosters and a commitment to high clinical standards.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration.
• Two postgraduate years with a minimum of 1 term experience in women’s health.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.
• A professional attitude and flexibility in work roles with a preparedness and ability to participate in the after-hours roster.
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with other staff and practitioners as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.

What you'll be doing To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide effective obstetric and gynaecological services to women under supervision, while developing expertise in managing these women in a complex clinical environment.

• * MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• * Completion of at least two postgraduate years with a minimum of 1 term experience in women's health.
• * Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
• * A professional attitude and flexibility in work roles with a preparedness and ability to participate in the after-hours roster.
• * Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively and communicate effectively with other staff and practitioners as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.
• * Effective oral and written communication skills, computer literacy, and demonstrated problem solving and time management skills.
• * Knowledge of relevant NSW Health policy.
