Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a policy and program management professional to lead housing and homelessness land development initiatives supporting First Nations communities. You will steer capital projects, analyse data, manage budgets, and provide strategic advice to senior leadership.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Indigenous councils and external stakeholders, with a focus on delivering serviced allotments for future social housing projects.

Qualifications

• Critically analyse and evaluate business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and meet customer needs.
• Prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and identify opportunities to improve project success.
• Collaborate and negotiate with influence and communicate clearly in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Apply structured program management approaches to implement housing land and infrastructure development to increase serviced allotments.
• Provide high level financial monitoring and management of program and project budgets, including budget reviews and adjustments.
• Develop, manage and review procedures to maximise capital program performance and delivery.
• Undertake data analysis and apply program design methodologies for land and infrastructure development for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Provide timely, accurate program reporting on status, dependencies, issues and risks.
