Job summary

Fortescue in Perth CBD is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to provide technical leadership across Asset Assurance & Integrity and Defect Elimination, strengthening systems that identify risks and protect long-term asset performance.

Reporting to the Asset Performance Superintendent, you will work with operations, maintenance, engineering and reliability teams to embed risk-based ways of working and drive improvements across the asset lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in reliability, asset integrity, risk, assurance or compliance within asset-intensive industries.
• Ability to develop and implement standards, workflows and improvement processes across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with stakeholder engagement capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead uplift and implementation of Asset Assurance & Integrity and Defect Elimination processes.
• Establish governance, standards, workflows and tools for asset integrity and reliability.
• Embed risk-based prioritisation across activities and drive sustainable resolution.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among operations, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Apply root cause analysis and defect elimination to identify recurring issues and drive corrective actions.
• Coach and change-manage adoption of improved processes across teams.
