Macquarie is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to shape the team’s technical direction and raise reliability across engineering. You will design scalable, resilient systems and tooling in Go or Java, and implement SLIs/SLOs while instrumenting services with traces, metrics and logs.

You will mentor engineers through code reviews, advocate for system improvements, and explore AI-enabled tooling to reduce operational toil and improve reliability.

Formación

• Strong understanding of modern software development practices.
• Hands-on development in Go or Java with instrumentation expertise.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Defined and implemented SLIs/SLOs end-to-end with dashboards and burn-rate alerts.
• Led incident response and post-incident reviews; influence without authority.
• Experience building AI-enabled tooling (LLMs/agents) and applying guardrails.
