Job summary

Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. seeks an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to lead the maintenance reliability function across the mill, crusher, and tailings operations.

You will transition from reactive maintenance to preventive and predictive programs, improving equipment reliability, availability, and overall plant performance. You will mentor engineers, analyze failures, and drive RCA-based improvements, working with Operations, Maintenance Planning, Projects, HSE, and suppliers to optimize

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional engineering certification or designation is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in plant operations and maintenance.
• Experience in a mineral processing or mining plant is required.
• Senior or team leadership experience is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fixed plant maintenance, and reliability strategies.
• Experience with RCA, predictive maintenance, asset reliability, maintenance planning, and KPI analysis.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; MS Project is a plus.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Expatriate experience is an advantage.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance reliability team and provide technical leadership on mechanical reliability matters.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Analyze equipment failures, conduct RCA, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, condition assessment, and maintenance strategy development.
• Monitor reliability, availability, downtime, and KPI metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Projects, HSE, suppliers, and service providers.
• Support asset life-cycle management, spare parts strategy, and asset integrity decisions.
• Participate in maintenance planning, budgeting, cost analysis, and reliability improvement projects.
• Lead and support Management of Change activities related to maintenance and reliability.
• Mentor and develop local engineers; promote knowledge transfer while complying with HSE requirements.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to lead and strengthen the maintenance reliability function across the mill, crusher, and tailings operations. The role will drive the transition from reactive maintenance to preventive and predictive maintenance, improving equipment reliability, availability, and overall plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance reliability team and provide technical leadership on mechanical reliability matters.

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

• Analyze equipment failures, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.

• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, equipment condition assessment, and maintenance strategy development.

• Monitor equipment reliability, availability, downtime, and maintenance KPIs, and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Work closely with Operations, Maintenance Planning, Projects, HSE, equipment manufacturers, and service providers.

• Support asset life-cycle management, spare parts strategy, asset integrity, and repair/replace or redesign decisions.

• Participate in maintenance planning, budgeting, cost analysis, and reliability improvement projects.

• Lead and support Management of Change (MOC) activities related to maintenance and reliability.

• Mentor and develop local engineers, promoting knowledge and technical skills transfer.

• Ensure all reliability and maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with company HSE requirements.
