Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District seeks an experienced Biomedical Engineer to join a specialist multidisciplinary team. You will lead the project management of the Quality Management System for locally manufactured Class I and Class II medical devices, and collaborate with clinical and technical staff across NSW.

You will focus on regulatory compliance initially, with growth into broader clinical and technical responsibilities in rehabilitation engineering, travelling within NSW and engaging

Qualifications

• Engineers Australia recognised Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of biomedical engineering practice with project management experience.
• Experience with medical device regulations, quality systems and safety frameworks.
• Current Class C NSW Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project management of the Quality Management System for locally manufactured Class I and Class II medical devices (development, implementation and operation).
• Maintain accurate design documentation and compliance records.
• Work closely with clinical staff, technical staff, clients and their support networks.
• Travel within NSW for rural clinics (2-3 times per year).
