Job summary

Barings Real Estate Australia is hiring a Senior Associate/Associate Director to join the Investments Team in Sydney. You will lead property investment analysis, build detailed financial models, and manage deal screening across a range of sectors and risk profiles with exposure to development and asset management.

You will coordinate with Co-Heads of Investments and work with internal/external stakeholders to maximize investment performance and deliver robust investment proposals.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of commercial real estate investment analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business or mathematics.
• Strong transactional track record across property sectors.
• Ability to view opportunities and invest with limited information.

Responsibilities

• Deal screening and assessments across property sectors and development sites.
• Assist full transaction lifecycle from negotiation to settlement.
• Perform acquisition/investment analyses with DCF, IRR and equity modelling.
• Prepare acquisition proposals and divestment papers.
• Support portfolio, development and asset management teams.
• Contribute to annual budgets and investment performance reviews.
• Conduct market research to support acquisitions and ideas.
