Job summary

Restive in Sydney, Australia is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to join our product team. You will own the development of customer-facing mobile features, ship releases for iOS and Android, and work within an established architecture and component library while maintaining performance and quality.

You will collaborate with product, design and engineering, contribute to reviews, and drive end-to-end delivery from design to production.

Job description

We're looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to join an established product engineering team working on a customer-facing, banking-style mobile application.

You’ll be joining an existing product where the core architecture,authentication and component library are already in place. The focus will be on building and shipping new customer-facing features across iOS and Android while maintaining strong standards around performance, reliability and code quality.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role suited to someone who can quickly understand an established mobile environment, take ownership of features end-to-end and contribute with minimal ramp-up.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and deliver new features within an established React Native mobile application
• Take features from requirements and design through development, testing and release
• Work within the existing application architecture, authentication model and component library
• Integrate mobile features with APIs and backend services
• Develop high-quality, reusable and maintainable mobile components
• Maintain strong standards around performance, reliability and code quality
• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions and engineering decisions
• Collaborate closely with product, design and engineering teams
• Support production releases across iOS and Android
• Troubleshoot and resolve mobile application issues
• Take ownership of features end-to-end and contribute effectively within an established product environment

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong commercial experience with React Native
• Proven experience shipping production applications across iOS and Android
• Strong experience integrating mobile applications with APIs and backend services
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX
• Experience building reusable, component-based mobile applications
• Good understanding of testing and modern software engineering practices
