Job summary

Surbana Consultants Pte Ltd seeks a Senior Project Controller to join its Rail & Metro team in North Sydney, managing scope, cost and schedule for rail transport projects.

You will develop and deliver high-quality project controls, reports, risk management, and coordinate with stakeholders, delivering value to clients while fostering collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project controls experience on transport infrastructure projects.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in developing and implementing Power BI reporting solutions.
• Experience with Power BI report development.
• Proven experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• High level consulting and client management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with advanced functions and large data handling.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring planning, reporting, project controls, scheduling and resource planning meet technical standards and client/SMEC requirements.
• Preparing accurate reports and project metrics.
• Applying risk management and contingency planning.
• Managing project deliverables.
• Collaborating with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of deliverables.
• Contributing to the commercial success of projects and the team.

The Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Controller to join our rail team in North Sydney, to provide high-quality project control activities on rail transport projects, relating to scope, cost and time management, contract management and administration.

• Ensuring that planning, reporting, project controlling, scheduling and resource planning undertaken meets appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the clients and SMEC
• Preparing accurate reports and project metrics
• Applying risk management and contingency planning
• Managing project deliverables
• Collaborating with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of project deliverables
• Contributing to the commercial success of projects and the team

About You

• 5+ years of project controls experience working on transport infrastructure projects
• 2+ years hands on experience in developing and implementing Power BI reporting solutions
• Experience with Power BI report development
• Proven experience of managing multiple projects at any given time
• High level consulting and client management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience using basic formulas, pivot tables, and large datasets
• Strong administration and organisational skills with high attention to detail
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multidisciplinary environment
• Experience in Primavera P6 (desired)
• Experience with Power BI report development
