Job summary

South Coast Radiology (Darling Downs Radiology) in Toowoomba is seeking an experienced Technical Area Manager to lead the radiography and sonography team while remaining clinically active. You will oversee daily operations, rostering, safety governance and patient flow, partnering with Radiologists and the Regional Manager to deliver high-quality imaging and a patient-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medical Imaging or equivalent required.
• Current AHPRA registration and QLD Radiation Use Licence.
• Minimum 5 years' medical imaging experience with strong radiography knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support all technical staff and clinical assistants.
• Oversee day-to-day technical operations and workflow.
• Remain hands-on clinically delivering high-quality imaging.
• Coordinate rostering, leave and team coverage.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and staff development.
• Maintain high standards in radiation safety and governance.
