Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced radiographer to support high standards of imaging and patient care. The role involves complex decision-making, deputising for the Principal Radiographer, and maintaining equipment competence within the department.

The post requires effective communication with staff and clinicians, mentoring of junior colleagues, and strict adherence to IR(ME)R and data protection requirements to ensure safe, accurate imaging practice.

Qualifications

• Assess patient records to determine the most appropriate imaging modality.
• Communicate effectively with trust staff and clinicians to ensure appropriate imaging procedures.
• Provide specialist advice to junior staff and mentor students where required.
• Ensure adherence to IR(ME)R procedures and data protection guidelines.
• Maintain accurate imaging records and participate in incident learning.

Responsabilités

• Assess patient records and referrals to inform clinical imaging decisions.
• Communicate with colleagues to ensure imaging procedures suit patient condition.
• Supervise junior staff and support student radiographers when needed.
• Deputise for the Principal Radiographer and manage workload within the team.
• Explain procedures to patients to aid understanding and cooperation.
