Job summary

GME is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer to join our Australian-made communications technology team. You’ll design RF circuits and systems for market-leading radios and emergency beacons, taking concepts through to production and field-ready performance.

You’ll lead RF design activities across the development lifecycle, validate with RF test equipment, collaborate with electronics, mechanical, firmware and manufacturing teams, and help shape robust, compliant products used across Australia and

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience designing and developing RF circuits and systems.
• Strong knowledge of RF amplifiers, filters, oscillators, mixers and associated design principles.
• Experience with RF simulation and design tools such as ADS, LTspice and Altium.
• Hands-on experience with PCB design, prototyping, bring-up and validation.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience using RF test equipment including spectrum analysers, signal generators, oscilloscopes and power meters.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior RF Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, development and optimisation of RF circuits and systems for new and existing GME products.

You’ll:

• Design RF circuits including amplifiers, filters, mixers and oscillators

• Experience supporting products from concept through manufacturing and production release
