Job summary

Boral Quarries in Narangba, Queensland, is seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead the Narangba Quarry, accountable for the safe, efficient and profitable operation, including production planning, drill and blast, processing, and P&L performance.

You will report to the Operations Manager, lead a high-performing team, and drive safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement while maintaining strong relationships with employees, customers, regulators and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within quarrying, mining or extractive industry operations.
• Strong knowledge of hard rock quarrying, crushing and processing operations.
• Experience with full P&L accountability, budget preparation and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce safety and environmental protocols to meet performance outcomes.
• Manage daily operations to deliver production, quality and cost targets within budgets.
• Collaborate with Sales to meet revenue and customer service objectives.
• Provide hands-on leadership and development of employees and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Lead short and long-term planning for capital projects and maintenance.
• Own site financial performance and deliver sustainable business outcomes.
