Job summary

Laing O’Rourke in Australia is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Unite32 team, delivering commercial outcomes for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues infrastructure program.

You will apply expertise in contract and financial management within large-scale infrastructure, collaborating with project teams, managing progress claims, change control, and reporting to deadlines while pursuing MRICS membership.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Commercial Law.
• MRICS membership is preferred or being pursued.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure, construction, rail or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong contract, financial and risk management knowledge.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver commercial requirements of the project.
• Prepare and submit progress claims and ensure timely payment.
• Advise on contractual issues and initiate correspondence.
• Prepare, review and submit reports within prescribed timescales.
• Review change management opportunities.
