WT is expanding and seeking a qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliver major, complex projects while driving value for clients across estimating, cost management, financial reporting and stakeholder engagement.

This client-facing role requires collaboration, leadership of a team, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept through post‑completion, with opportunity to showcase technical and commercial acumen.

Competenze

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience in a leadership role, managing a team and client relationships.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects and commissions.

• Liaise with clients, architects and main contractors.
• Identify and facilitate new business opportunities.
• Master-plan and feasibility budgets; cost checking of developing design.

Job Description

WT is expanding and in line with this continued growth of operations, and due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, we’re on the lookout for qualified and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors.

In this role, you’ll play a key role in delivering major, complex projects while driving value for our clients. This client-facing role covers estimating, cost management, financial reporting, and stakeholder engagement, with the opportunity to showcase your technical expertise and commercial acumen. We’re looking for someone who thrives on collaboration, enjoys working with stakeholder-rich clients, and is ready to take a ownership on projects and within the team It’s an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior QS seeking broader challenges, or for a proven Quantity Surveyor ready to step up and make their mark with a leading consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors
• Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
• Master-plan and feasibility budgets
• Cost checking of developing design
• Tender evaluations and analysis
• Cash flow projects
• Procurement
• Cost reporting
• Evaluation of variations
• Valuations
• Final account reporting
• Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
• Investment analysis
• Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Experience in a leadership role, managing a team and client relationships
• Experience working with and supporting operational executives
• Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissions
• Full Australian working rights and currently located in Australia
• RICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regarded
• Proficient in the use of Cost X
• Ability to produce both top down and bottom up cost plans
• A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception, through to completion and post-project review
