Job summary

WorkCover Queensland seeks a Senior Quality Engineer – Integration to own end-to-end QA of integration touchpoints across platforms and ensure reliable data flow and secure testing in a dynamic transformation.

You will drive automation strategies, govern testing standards, and collaborate with DevOps, release and security teams to raise delivery quality in a hybrid work model. A strong background in API, iPaaS/middleware, and CI/CD is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of dedicated software testing experience with emphasis on backend, middleware, and integration testing.
• Strong API understanding: REST, SOAP, HTTP status codes.
• Hands-on API/integration automation experience using Karate and Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Lead adoption of test automation and continuous testing across engineering teams.
• Define and evolve test automation frameworks, standards, governance and metrics.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for API and integration testing.
• Ensure CI/CD alignment and traceability with testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with development, platform, release and security teams to embed quality practices.
• Mentor engineers in quality engineering and non-functional testing.
