Job summary

Robert Half Technology is partnering with a well-known household brand in Brisbane's inner-north to hire a Senior QA Tester on an initial contract with the potential to go permanent. The role focuses on uplifting automation maturity, expanding test coverage, and embedding continuous testing within the delivery lifecycle.

You will join an established QA function, collaborating with developers, DevOps and product teams.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a QA Automation/Senior Test Engineering role.
Strong coding/automation capability across UI + API frameworks.
Skilled with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar tools.
Proficiency in scripting languages (TypeScript, C#, Java, Python etc.).
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins).
Excellent debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication ability when working with cross-functional teams.
Performance/load testing experience advantageous (JMeter, k6, LoadRunner).

Responsibilities

Create, maintain and scale automation test frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress etc.).
Build automated regression, integration and end-to-end test suites.
Work within CI/CD environments to ensure continuous quality checks.
Perform API and microservices testing (Postman/RestAssured/Swagger).
Conduct defect analysis, triage and root cause investigations.
Collaborate with development teams to embed a shift-left QA approach.
Measure automation performance, reliability and coverage.
Contribute to ongoing QA tool uplift, standards and best practices.
Mentor and knowledge-share with the existing QA tester.
